Are they loaded with slower burning powder to make use of the extra barrel length?

Stilly will have more details but a while back he got the manufacturer of Leverevolution to admit the powder Hornady uses for their commercial ammo is a mix. I was way interested cuz back then I could get Leverevolution but as it turns out, it's just for limited rifle rounds. Namely 30-30 for me.

I do not know WHO is a bigger bull****ter now. Walter O'brien (Think of that insanely bull**** tv show called <scorpion>) or Hornady for putting out ads stating that their LEVERLUTION powder is the same powder used in their leverlution loads.

BULL ****ING ****! IT IS NOT THE SAME! IT IS A DIFFERENT BLEND! The only stuff that leverlution is good for is 30-30. There are other calibers, but I doubt you would want to use it for anything but 30-30.

SO if you want those cute little 44 mag missles, GO BUY THE COMPLETED LOADS cause you aint gonna be making them with LEVERLUTION powder any time soon...

Well GOOD for you then.

I shot it out of my Colt Kodiak and it LOOKED AS FANTASTIC as it could with those red tipped mini missles sticking out of the cylinder. It was DEVASTATING to coconuts. We had just confiscated an illegal food vendor's cart so we were shooting all of his food at the range! We must have blasted 25 coconuts that day with .45 acp and the .44 mag and that .44 mag leverlution was GREAT.

Supposedly it gets you a higher velocity within the same or lower pressure levels as other loads of that nature. Yeah whatever.

It is great out of a handgun. But I think that Federal American Eagle 240gr will get you similar results at a fraction of the cost.

If you noticed larger fireballs though, it could very well be for the rossi ranch hands/ model 92 lever action rifles that shoot it. That would make better sense. But it still shoots fine out of a pistol. That IS the entire idea behind the flexi tips on their pills, it is so that you can load pointed ammo into a tubular magazine without the worry of it going off. The only tubular magazines are on the rossi ranch hands and the model 92s and other similar rifles and pistols.

One more thing. Leverevolution rounds tend to use slightly shorter brass cases. This matters if you reload, because you've got to adjust your flaring die for that shorter length.
