I was month to month after my two year commitment was up. I called DirectTV and got the same package I pay $80 now for $37. Granted price is good for 12 months but they also threw in a $200 visa gift card.

If you are after your commitment, definitely call and renegotiate your deal.

Great job! I haven't paid for cable television since 2006. I use the money saved to buy food and beer at sports bars, for my televised sports, otherwise I stream stuff. Netflix via $35 per month broadband is the only thing I pay for. I must admit I don't much like television. I love not paying bills.

Welcome aboard- One of the best decisions I made last year.Truth is ,we don't even miss that damn thing. Now adays I just google fox news/cnn/kron 4 to know what is up.
I heard of folks buying the amazon fire tv box and uploading some apps on it for that gives them almost anything they wonna watch.
