Last night I wanted to return it but thought maybe someone can help me get it working correctly instead. I know next to nothing about computers. It is an HP Envy TouchSmart 15 Notebook PC, Windows 8.1 and I use firefox. It is only a couple months old. Here is the problem. When I click on something (thread, link, picture, whatever) it doesn't work. At the top of the screen where you have the different things you have open(tabs?, windows?) there is a spinning circle that starts out grey then turns green and switches direction it just keeps spinning and usually doesn't open the link. Maybe 1 out 20 times it will open immediately, usually it just spins forever and doesn't ever open. Yes I am completely retarded when it comes to computers. Any suggestions?

Try IE instead.
MAYBE you need to update or uninstall and then reinstall firefox...
I am sorry that you have windows 8.1, but doesn't that mean that you can upgrade to windows 7 or some sort? Windows 7 might be better anyways...7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

That is what i thought at first but my iphone, ipad and daughters laptop all work fine. Also while it is just "spinning" and not loading I can open a new tab and it will load immediately. Sometimes clicking on it repeatedly will also make it load right away.Comment

Is windows 8.1 no good? I think my last one was windows 2000 or something like that. Worked great forever until my dog caught the cord and yanked it off the table.Comment
