Source for quality Cat-5 patch cables? 120' POE

Sure it's bigger but that's one hole....I'm guessing the run will involve drilling more than a single hole for the cable to run through..what ever floats your boat though...you don't need anything fancy for Poe ip cams..even at 2-3MP

I'm being snobby with the molded ends on the pre-terminated cables and I'm not worried about drilling a bigger whole since the pigtail coming off of the camera is bigger than the molded boot. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to order soon, just getting all my components finalized.

I like the molded ends or boots on the cables I make myself too.
I bought a package of 10 or 20 of them for a couple of dollars.

It depends on the application, but 568B on both sides is pretty much what is seen across the industry for anything plugged into a switch.



Why? We run tons of lines doing PoE on Cat5e/Cat6 UTP without any issue. It's not that much power being pushed over the things.

You run them outside? It's not the device I worry about, switch and any servers connected to the PoE source will fry.

The shield cable is the ground if you follow the spec your good to go.
