Samsungs new Galaxy 5 is waterproof without a cover. Make very certain all the gaskets are in place.
Seriously, I was an iphone user for years. My business and my aging eyes dictated a larger screen. I went with the Samsung Note 3. BIG PHONE! Took about a week to get used to it. I can't imagine going back to the small screened phones. I use it more for its computer than a phone anyways.

This. I spend maybe 5 minutes total a month on my phone actually talking to people, the bulk is using it as a mini computer. This is really the way most people are going nowadays. I don't know anyone other than my mom and businesses that even bother to leave voicemail anymore. If they don't pick up you just text them.

        Your confusing Apple with Microsoft.
How is Microsoft involved in the discussion of a new phone? Microsoft, before the recent purchase of Nokia, doesn't make phones.

I was using an analogy to compare product development strategies, not a literal comparison between phone models.

The 5s is a really good phone, but if it were me, I'd hold out (if you can) for the 6 in September. The bigger screen will be worth the wait.

I like how everyone assumes there will be a new iPhone in the Fall. It's a reasonable guess, but it is still a guess.

In five years there have been six iPhones. A guess, yeah... But a pretty good one.

Can't speak for Gryff but I took his statement as "new", meaning "new".

I'll wait for the larger screen ones to come out.
