I've been running on my sager for almost two years. Not a single issue. Play BF4 just fine.

A note about Win8, I actually love it after installing Classic Shell months ago. Otherwise the Win8 desktop layout is a major drag.

*Currently using Lenovo Yoga 11s. Convertible, solid state, i5, and really fast with my motion tracking software. Not a problem expected with this SOLID machine!

I gotta ask, why laptop? For under $1k you can build a top of the line desktop. You can spend close to $2k on an equal laptop.

I just recently got a refurbished Lenovo Y510p for $779 shipped off of eBay. It's decently fast when plugged in (almost seems like GPU doesn't run when it's on battery).

I use it for work, but I tested and it can run "old" games like Skyrim at 1920 x 1080 with graphics set to Ultra, with pretty decent FPS. Don't know how well it would run newer games, but I like old games (Age of Empires II anyone?) so I don't really care.

The relevant specs of the laptop:
            -quad core Intel i7 4700MQ
            -8 GB RAM
            -NVIDIA 755m (?) 2 GB GPU
-1 TB hard drive + 24 GB SSD
            -15.6" 1920 x 1080 screen
            -Windows 8.1

Knowing your budget would really help us out.
