I plan on getting a Lenovo Y410P. They constantly have sales on their website where they go for $750 or so. Don't know if the performance is enough for you but it is for me

Shop Lenovo IdeaPad 1 Series Laptops at affordable prices. Thin and light laptops with HD display, built-in speakers, and great sound, perfect for students and home. ✔ Free shipping

I like that some still have Win7 not to sure about Win8 at this time. it kinda limits my choices with Win7 though.

if money isnt an issue. get alienware 17 or alienware 18... if you want a desktop its best if you build your own as it will be 100 times faster than any pc you see at best buy, walmart etc.

I got my ASUS gaming laptop and tablet from Tiger Direct. They have awesome pricing BUT you have to really do your research. I had is down between ASUS and MSI when I got mine. The only reason I got the ASUS I got more bang for the buck at the time, but that can change in 24 hours.

Unless you really genuinely need it to be portable, a laptop is probably not the way to go, especially if you intend to play high-end games on it. High-end graphics are very power intensive and laptops are notoriously bad at heat dissipation. They also aren't awesome at future upgrades such as the graphics.

i am on a MSI GT60 now. it is a little heavy, but still portable. GPU is a GTX 770m it works for what i play. (guild wars 2, and a few random games i got off steam) it has a function that will boost the fan to 100% speed, it gets loud but will keep the laptop cool during longer gaming sessions. battery life sucks though so when gaming i keep it plugged in.

I have a GT60 with the GTX 770M as well; it is a warm, loud, heavy, energy-sucking beast but I'm happy with its performance. I mostly use it for Kerbal Space Program.

Sure is, one more thing about the gt60, its power brick IS a brick. Think xbox 360 size.

You didn't mention your budget. If cost is not a big issue, you cannot go wrong with a MSI. I've only used 2 laptops, but my MSI has been a great machine

if you insist, it's better to ask for recommendations here to get more information:
MSI currently has the most affordable series of gaming laptops on the market, with models as spectacular as the one we will analyze today. Truly a wonder.IntroductionMSI
