Only the Hackers, Malware folks waiting for any newly discovered vulnerabilities to not be patched so they can exploit any system still using XP.
Time to pull the plug on XP.

If you want to pay a few million dollars to Microsoft, you can get them to support XP for you.
I'm not joking. There are certain companies that make Point-of-Sale systems (cash registers) which use a custom variant of XP (think XP 'embedded').

Why on earth would anyone spend millions to subsidize the fact that you are too cheap to get a new computer? Go to school, learn programming and then spend every waking moment upgrading it yourself. It is not as if your computer will suddenly stop working either, you will just have to face the fact that over time you will become completely exposed to cyber attacks and unable to run new software.Comment

I don't need a new computer. My computer works perfectly fine, and although a few years old it blows the doors off my new work multi-core POC windows 7 machine. Why on earth would anyone spend millions to subsidize the fact that you are too cheap to get a new computer? Only MS can keep giving you XP support as Windows is closed source, and MS is not going to be doing that. Either move up to windows 7, stick with XP and hope no really bad exploits come out (I don't recommend this), or give Linux a try (there are some distributions that strive to mimic XP). Or give Mac a try.Comment

XP is done. It's time to move on. The only thing that really sucks is if you have legacy software that won't work on the newer OS's.
Things change. OS's change. At a certain point, you just have to move on.
I have 7 running on the rest of my PC's and laptops and I like it better than XP anyway.Last edited by Iknownot; 03-03-2014, 11:06 AM.Comment

This is interesting.. I know of a certain major defense contractor that seems to run XP on just about every computer I have come across.. Well, I guess they can afford to pay to upgrade or pay for support."Everybody is a genius.
