Is it more like COD or Battlefield? I love Battlefield but hate COD.

Honestly, I was super excited for the game watching the vids for it, but was personally underwhelmed once I got to actually play the beta.

Why?

Because it is basically COD, with wall running and Vehicles (which has been done before in COD if you played COD World at War, which had tanks).

And I have played a lot, a lot, a lot of COD. So while the game is a fresh take on COD, it is still COD.

I'm still getting it, because I have passed on the last handful of COD games and feel like finally playing COD again ( i got burned out on how stupid the MP in the series became). However, in terms of core gameplay, it is COD.

So if you can handle COD, and you want a fresh take, go for it.

The game is certainly fun enough. I'm looking forward to playing it. I'm just not expecting anything new. It's the same game we've been playing for 10 years now (though with out the awful kill streak/perk dynamics that have ruined the MP over time).

It looks pretty sweet, but i dont know if its enough to get me to buy an Xbox. Ps4 is cheaper and i still have a bad taste in my mouth from microsofts prelaunch shinanigans.

Based on what I've seen in reviews both here and online I passed on this one. I never liked Halo, or COD and the reviews I have seen lean towards these style of games not the more open battlefield style. I may be wrong, so ill queue it in Gamefly in the future. COD and Halo always seemed "frantic" in the multiplayer. Spawn, shoot a bit, die, re-spawn. However, I did help the economy today and picked up Dark Souls 2. I'm looking forward to dying over and over again.

It is more twitch shooter COD style, but the balancing is interesting because anyone can call in a Titan and be at the center of a clutch moment in the battle.

The balance in the game seems better than average.
