Anybody else try out the beta? What were your thoughts?

I've been playing it and I like it a lot! I'll definitely be picking it up. I'm not a big fan of call of duty but this game has plenty of originality. It's got a learning curve to it and it's a little chaotic at first. But keep playing and you'll enjoy it.

If you like COD at all, you will like this game. It's COD with wall running and tanks (titans).

It really reminded me most of all of COD World at War, the maps with tanks, only with more close in maps.

The skills and weapon unlocks and the 3 classes should also give it a bit of a fresh take on the traditional COD XP level up gameplay as well.

I any case, I'm looking forward to it. Familiar enough to get right into, different enough to be fresh (the COD format, IMO, got really stale 2 or 3 games ago).

Should be fun.

I ordered the Xbox One with the Titanfall game included for free. It should arrive on 11 March the day of the games launch. I haven't played the beta but from reading reviews & watching videos I got hooked.

Anyone want start a CGN Titanfall clan?

I agree that I would have loved a single player but since I was going to get an X1 anyway a free copy of TF is a bonus.

Besides TF I don't see any games that truly catch my interest besides AC4.

I dinged it myself at first thinking that I'm only paying for half a game, but then I thought about how I never finished the solo campaigns of BF3 or BF4 and I played those into the ground for multiplayer....

I wasn't too impressed, but then again I stopped playing CoD after MW2. Planetside 2 has pretty much ruined all FPS games for me because nothing can compete with a free AAA FPS like PS2. I just can't see myself spending $60 when I can play an FPS for free. Planetside 2 is also coming to PS4, and will still be 100% free.

There is a SP mode in Titanfall, FYI, it's just not a dedicated, traditional SP mode. There is a SP mode that uses the MP assets.

It is called "Campaign" mode and you can play it as both sides of the conflict. It will have more story, and dialog added in to flesh out the universe the game is set in, but it will use the maps and assets from the regular MP modes to tell the story.

I'd say it's more like COD but if you play it that way by not using double jump, wall walk or the Titan you'll get owned.
