I've got one, had two origianlly. Used to let them loose in the living room together and watched them battle. The one that's left keeps going into the "Im tangled up in something" mode. I think I need to pull it apart and see whats up. I miss running that little booger around the house, we even named it Rosie:

I honestly have not found something that picks up dog hair better on hard floors than the roomba. Hands down, it is one of the best little purchases I have made.

Lemme tell you though, when that damn little thing runs over your foot and you aren't expecting it lol!

It doesn't replace a good solid vacuuming, but for your cleaning in between - you honestly cannot beat it. I empty a whole tray of dog hair out of him everyday almost. As I stated above, for tile, hardwood etc... roomba is a beast. I'm not sure why, but he just sucks up everything. I think it may be due to the rubber spinner that he has compared to a fiber that most vacuums have.

My biggest suggestion to anyone that buys a roomba: BUY IT AT COSTCO!

We have one and used it pretty heavily for a while. Unfortunately with 3 long haired people in the house it jammed up with hair a lot. It also did not handle the addition of beanbag chairs to our living room very well. Prior to that it was nifty and did a good job of keeping our carpet clean as long as people abide the no shoes on carpet rule.

It worked even better when the smoker with a tendency to stomp out butts with his shoes moved out and stopped tracking ash in.

Thanks for posting I have been curious as well if the price is justified, always wondered how much it can store before its time to empty out the bin. We have two dogs in the house and two kids

Why would you pull up a 3 month old thread just to post "fraud"?
