Why all the scam gun ads?

I have now come across 4 fake gun ads trying to scam money on 3 different websites... They all right away ask for western union and 2 of them both explained how they were Christians and had family's and how I needed to send the money and a gun would arrive to me shorty.... I got and email back a little bit ago reading
    "Hello,
I am a 42 year old and i came online to sell my Beretta Hand Gun not to tarnish my image over the internet okay, more to that i am also a God fearing person one of God,s commandments said "thou shall not steal" More to that i know the pains it might cause for someone to pay for something n do not get it at the end. Also i have a happy and christian family ,well So all i ask from you is just a little bit of your trust and i promise you that at the end you will be very happy with me for selling my Beretta Hand Gun to you because the car runs very well and it is till like new.So if you believe in all what i have said and you have given me your trust then i promise not to fail you."

after I said "this sounds like a scam no offense." I need a picture of the gun and you along with something showing todays date please.
2 of the scammer's both spoke that Weird chinglish (Chinese English) and the one that I posted the email of didnt seem to know what he was scamming money for lol. "you will be very happy with me for selling my Beretta Hand Gun to you because the car runs very well and it is till like new." I thought I was buying a gun not a car?

Tell them your uncle, the Nigerian prince will send triple the money, all they have to do is send you the gun and the equivalent asking price in US dollars.

there's people scamming everywhere and using and possible product, it's a good thing most of us have enough sense to take the time to stop any consider the situation. Not all scammers are blithering idiot like the one mentioned above.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Especially online.

This thread is so full of win, I am not going to try to think up any more responses because the two that I thought of already were posted...

                        SO,

It makes me want to post the recording I made of SAM DAWSON or whatever his name was who called me telling me that he was calling from windows and that my computer was contacting all kinds of people and he was calling me so that I could allow him to fix it. I kept him on the phone for 17+ minutes before he caught on and gave me a hilarious tongue lashing and I of course had to keep the volley going back and forth...

But those were made in early-mid 90s and only had 15gal fuel tanks so he has to restrict it to 10 gals or no tank at all...
