Here is something you do not see every day... USB flashlight

I know, they do have usb lights, but I picked up a pack of 10 of these for $8.xx (free shipping) from fleabay.

They look cool. I guess the only neat thing is that if you get a usb extension cable you can just plug them in and use it for a little light.

Not sure of the other uses, but hey, for a battery-less light that only needs a usb cable to power on and it IS bright, there could be some good things here...



I am testing the longevity of them now before I leave feedback, I wanna see that they do not burn out in 10 hours.

I plan to keep on in my laptop bag and in my tool bag and at my desk.

I have one with a lens. It is bulky at 2" long and 1" diameter. It is made my Xtar and even though it LOOKS cool and performs well, it is to big to jam in my tech bags. It also cost around $17.00

But these little guys are nearly flat and a little igger than sim cards. They are pretty cool. Some people I am sure have never seen them before (myself included) so I thought I would share since I like to find things like this and post them here every now and then. Some thigns are cool, some thigns are not as cool, and I am still trying to find a good use for these, but I have 10 of them now. Actually I think I will give one to the guy that bought me lunch last week. See if he wants it. Maybe he has a use for it. I just think it is a cool little thingy to have around.

I totally didn't realize it was just a 'chip' to stick into a USB cable, just saw the pic and thought "wow, he hasn't seen those before?" Dude, that is totally useful, I'm buying a ton of those, thanks!
