Anyone ever see The IT Crowd?

Yeah it is a BBC show but damn it is funny.

They only did about 4 seasons but the positions they put the guys in are hilarious...



When I saw this I was thinking of the safety nazis that hang out in OT, I think this was from the second or third season, third season, because I think Moss was getting bullied in this episode...


Anyways. I am starting an internship next week and I wanted to see a tele show that would show me what a real IT department was like...

Everyone recommended it to me. Watched 3 or 4 of the first episodes, just can't get into it. I normally like britcoms but it's just not clicking.

I hear you though about clicking, most of those brits don't click with me. I did enjoy Hyperdrive though. Also, they have a new series that came out called Orphan Black. For being bbc THAT is well, WOW. nudity, action, violence, and it is about clones...

But I enjoy the nuggets from IT crowd. I wish it lasted longer than 4 seasons.

Silicon Valley is way better, IMO. Mike Judge has the whole startup culture nailed. Although, as much as I like the show, I think it might be difficult for non-programmers to get the most out of the humor.

bump for SV. I was graveyard security for a Nolan Bushnell 'incubator' back before they were call 'incubators'. This was in early 1980s when cocaine was socially acceptable. Nuff said.

Glad to see Mike Judge has found new success after Beavis and Butthead. (king of hill weak IMO).

I guess MTV held him to low paying contract. I can kinda see MTV's point since for every stunning success they got lots of stunning failures, and if someone had showed me B&B and asked me as a studio exec I'd have said "will never sell, WTF are you thinking?" so they took a huge chance fronting money and schedule time for him.

IT Crowd is hillarious, love everything that IT/Boosh/Dark Place crowd do. The scene where they put a hollow monitor shell in front of the office fire...

However, I think I saw an episode and even though I caught some of the little things, I was not liking it. I think it was a garage sale episode. I do need to watch two more episodes though to make sure to give it a proper chance.

Now that I have finished my internship though I realize just how much Better off Ted and IT Crowd is to be found in a large network/city/business...

The sad thing about where I had my internship was that I often found myself laughing at situations and nobody else caught on because nobody else had watched either of the series...
