Skyrim: Stormcloaks and Imperials. <spoiler alert>

So the first time I played through I was about kicking the Imperials pompous asses out of town...until I got the dossier on Ulfric. Seriously? Thalmor sleeper agent? I was so pissed that I vowed I would set right my wrong on the next run through. Guess who just got the dossier on Ulfric again.

Sucks because the earliest save I have is L32 (I am L62) and I can't join the Imperials. I have all ready started with the Stormcloak campaign. Is there a way to get back in decent standing with the Imperials or do I have to start over...again?

Feh, they're all beneath you. You are dragonborn! Mortal man must cower and kneel before you!

I think I aided the Stormcloaks, I don't remember. Once I maxed level I seldom do anything in town but dump more sh*t in my house and make more arrows.

But, but, Thalmor sleeper agent! I vowed I would crush him for his treachery...and I have failed.

Have you done the negotiations at the high hrothgar yet? You will be given an opportunity there to make a decision that will pull you closer to one and away from another, when I was done the imperials hated me and talked **** to me everytime I went to one of their camps. You know how people in the game get when they talk **** to you and tell you to leave, after about a minute or two, they decided to all start attacking, so get your business done with the quartermaster and get out of there...

No doubt, when I see a dragon, I think, 0o0o0o he is worth at least 72 more arrows...

Imperials all ready hate me. I think I have all ready started to take towns with the Stormcloaks even at L32.

What negotiations? Haven't seen that come up yet.

It has to do with you heading up negotiations at high hrothgar. You end up inviting ulferic, that general and someone else. I forgot what it was called though.

Oh yeah, it is called Season Unending
This quest starts early in the concurrent quest, The Fallen, but only if the Jarl of Whiterun (Balgruuf or Vignar) insists that a truce must be negotiated before allowing Dragonsreach to be used to capture a dragon. If either side of the Civil War controls at least eight of the nine holds of Skyrim, a truce can no longer be negotiated, and this quest will automatically be bypassed.

I'll have to try that...or I am in for another run through.

Just to thread jack my own thread, does anyone else get miffed when "betrayed" like this in a storyline? When you try to do the "right" but it turns out you made a deal with the devil? Bethesda does a pretty good job of this, or so it seems from my time with Fallout 3, New Vegas and now Skyrim.

Actually, politically the imperials seemed like the lesser evil, they want equality and stormcloakes are a bunch of racists.

However to your question, if I remember correctly isn't there a part where you can choose to switch sides just before the end of ether campaign?

Man you're late to the party lol

Make one of the cat guys and then go to Riften and there's a guy in the ratway named 'The Fist' or somethingrather who has these enchanted gloves. Kill him, disenchant the gloves, then go all heavy armor, blacksmithing and enchanting and punch everything to death.

Only after the first mission, after that you are locked in AFAIK.
