is there any way to fix my wireless mouse

i think the spring in the left click mouse button is worn out, it keeps registering multiple clicks even though i only clicked it once. i have had the mouse for about 3 years. is there any way to fix it or should i get a new one?

New mouse is the easiest option.

You might be able to find a replacement button, but you will probably have to solder it.

A wired replacement Logitech ps/2(/mini-din) is less than $20, and they last a LONG time. No need to use wireless with less responsiveness.

My parents wore theirs out from playing Solitaire, and that is the only one I have ever seen the button rubbed to the point of not having any button (on the tactile switch) left...

You have a silicon component malfunction. Get a new mouse. There is no "fixing" it.

There is a very small chance that it might be because oil and muck from your hand is clogging something on the mouse, causing the contact to stick more than it should.

Once you have a new mouse, and since you'll be throwing the old one away anyway, try pouring some rubbing alcohol on the mouse. Wait for the rubbing alcohol to dry up and then try again. Just might fix it, a small chance but if it fixes the problem you can keep it as a spare and prevent it from becoming yet another piece of rubbish for the landfill.

I keep at least 3 Logistech M305's and 3 M25's here at the house.
Love the compact features of both.

Scotch tape on the red light located at the bottom of the mouse...

VERY interesting. Is it made by Gearhead?
I have a wired Laser mouse that will double click sometimes too, also, my wheel is worn out, It no longer clicks, it feels like the spring under the clicker is sprung and out and is getting run over...

Really sucks when I doubleshot in Skyrim and I get an arrow that flies about a foot...

yeah, even a CHEAP 4.99 mouse seems to outperform my Gearhead Laser mouse at 9.99...
