                                  One of my old work places used Oki dot matrix printers. I guess for high volume printing, it's still more cost effective. I don't miss having it at home when I was a little kid and my mom yelling at me "FIX THE PRINTER, IT JAMMED AGAIN!" in chinese and all the happened was the paper became mis-aligned in the sprocket.
