I watched 3 episodes of Walking dead season 3 last night.

They were great. I had never been able to get a 720P show to play on our 32" sanyo tv cause the only way to do it currently is through the dvd player's usb port.

Anyways, NICE, crystal clear, not a hiccup at ALL in the decoding/converting AND it even read it off the usb drive instead of storing it. I have a few things I have been sotring that I want to watch now.

BTW, the walking dead episodes I have are all MKV files.

Anyways, If anyone was thinking of getting one, well, I think they are great.

I only had ONE hitch with it. When I first hooked it up, the Vhold was all screwy. Turns out that it was stuck in PAL mode so I had to navigate through the menu (with it all looping on me) and switch over to NTSC. Now that I have done it, it is great...

I wonder if I can yank out the HD inside it and replace it with a 3TB drive...

Just hook up.one via USB. We networked ours to run.off my other drives/pc

I do the same as zfeilds, and my H.T.PC uses the same drive. It's great!!

was that a home built job? What are the specs of yours?

I just picked up a beagle board to turn into the file server and make into a NES/snes emulator for the tv. Wdtv is still going to be the media box though.

Total noob at building a PC worked out great so far. After I built it I found I could of done the same thing for a lot cheaper.. I still think it was a good experience for me, and now we have an extra pc in the house. XBMC is a neat little program I like it a lot.

That is good stuff. I like to build with a purpose. Give me a target or goal, not just do as I please. When I do as I please I find I am not as interested in the work...

Ok, finally got my BBB running as a file server. Admittedly I took the harder route then I should have, but its working great.

Flashed over to a debian install, put on samba and called it a day. My TV doesn't support turning OFF overscan, so no NES emulator for now : (
