Got the s3 1 year ago to replace the iPhone 4. I wouldn't go back to an iPhone if you paid me. My wife has an iPhone 5 and while it's a nice device no doubt, the S3 blows it away badly. But Samsung like many others put out too many models too frequently. It's pretty ridiculous for sure.

Someone made a good point as to why anyone would upgrade to an S4 when it really doesnt do anything different than the S3, not enough to justify cost anyways.

The only type of people who constantly upgrade are the ones who feel like they have to "keep up with the Jones' " and have every new model gadget as soon as it comes out...

Probably the same type of people who have 10 different brand name AR15's.

When I can get a HI DEF flat screen for the same price as a smart phone, a smart phone can KISS MY @$$!

I agree with this. Samsung has adopted a rather lazy strategy of simply pushing out a new phone with minor tweaks very frequently. After a while, the market will get sick of it and go look for something else to play with.

Using an S2 and I'm not upgrading until this one is unusable. It's got too many nice custom roms to choose from

I'm still on my almost-three-year-old iPhone 4. I'm long out of contract, but I figure I'll stick it out for a few more months, see what the next iPhone looks like before I make any decisions.

              Maybe.

Assuming it lasts until then. It's definitely not working as well as it used to.

samsung phone sales are fine. My move from the orginal galaxy to the g3 was huge. But while the g4 is nice its not a enough of a leap to pick it up. Maybe the g5 will be about right.

Ps the g4 active is the only thing to make me want a new phone now. Dustproof waterproof, yes yes yes. Can final start to push friends in the pool with out costing an arm and a leg. Kayaking will also be better.

Next step - Apple is going from Samsung to TMSC for Silicon.

This is INTERESTING. Gosh I hope Apple gets their due.

                  .

                    Good for them.

Wait, the 'video pauses when my eyes look away' capability isn't a must-have feature? Who knew?

Sprint used to give me a yearly upgrade, but now it's only every two years. Maybe other service providers aren't being as generous and this is having an effect on sales?

Really like my new S4, so much better than my last motorola doid3, which had several problems. No more motorolas for me.

i have the note and while I love it apple has a few better features. the little volume switcher to mute/vibrate the phone, I hate having to pull down a screen and then tap an icon. and I hate the way you call on the android. apples touch the number is easier for lazy people. and I hate how you have to lower the resolution to make a picture fit fully as a home or lock screen on android. and I like the messaging system on iphone to be honest. I really liked to htc 1 but I felt switching between home screens was to slow and that the camera sucked.
