Do you know of any free web hosting sites that don't suck? I can't even find any that will let me upload my own HTML files unless I pay money to them. Any recommendations for a good one that will?

Takes a bit of doing, but if you sign up for Google apps for domains (single user is still free) and buy a $10 domain name, you can dump raw HTML into site pages... Feel free to pm me if you need more details on how to proceed.

You can do it yourself if you want to.

There are free apps that you can run that will turn your computer into a webserver. How free is that? You will need to put a hole or two in your router firewall and port forward I believe but those directions should be easily followed.
