What's the intended use? $200 is pretty limiting, you're basically looking at an AMD cpu and a POS motherboard.

You'll be looking at MicroATX motherboards if you wan to get anything decent. Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131885

Does you case take MicroATX boards?

need more info on what you have now.

Microcenter has an AMD for $90 or so WITH a free motherboard but then you will need RAM.

AND then you will prolly need to reinstall your OS...

If you increase your budget you could get a rocking combo. For about 300 you could snag an i5 3570 and mobo.

My suggestion on brand is either Asus or gigabyte. Both are loaded with features and affordable.

what type of RAM do you currently have.. If your RAM is old (pc2100/2700 etc), you might have to extend your budget a little more...

Micro center has a crap load of mobos on clearance. About 6-8 months ago I found a Z68 (I know not the latest but still loaded with %95 of same features as a Z77) mobo by ASUS for $65 (from $130) and an i3 2100 or 2200 can remember for $79 (from $120). Not the best processor but it is still FAST and is almost as comparable as an i5 2500 minus some speed and a couple other things. I have 8GB RAM, got all of it for $30. So for under $200 I got a mobo with a very decent processor and 8BG of RAM. I built the comp for under $500 with a nice tower, Windows 7, DVD burner, 700w power supply, 500GB HD and 2 very good cooling fans with hydraulic bearings. Almost everything was on clearance.

Trust me micro center has a butt load of open boxes and clearance mobo's. You have to go in store because the website doesnt show everything.

This is the case I have:
                  Antec Nine Hundred

                  Motherboard Support:Mini-ITX, microATX, Standard ATX

My old motherboard is only ddr2 compliant I have 16 gigs of Corsair Vengeance DDR 3 to put in the new one. The cpu is an old 2 core i believe AMD. While it'd be nice to go up to $300 or so its really not in the budget, need to stick to $200 or less.

That's what I've been eyeing for awhile now. Will have to check and see if a microcenter is around the visalia area.

                        Check Craigs List?
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".
