Do you mean image editing like Photoshop? They have a free, basic web tool

Macrium Reflect has been working great.

Works well, but I felt it was slower than Symantec Ghost or Acronis True Image; but can't beat free.

If you are wanting to create an image of your boot drive and you run Win7 it includes a free image backup solution. Although Macrium is much more full featured!

Clonezilla is more intended for cloning a drive to many systems, or cloning a small drive to a newer larger drive as is the case when an upgrade is made!

I like Clonezilla which is opensource and free.

Another vote for it. We use it for cloning our servers and laptops (when migrating to SSDs for example).

Clonezilla Server Edition was designed to clone multiple systems through a network utilizing PXE while Clonezilla Live boots off removable media and works great on a single system.

Yes, which is why I stated that it is better suited to cloning a small (older) drive to a new (larger) drive.

The downside to using Clonezilla or Win7 for a backup system is that Clonezilla cannot do incremental or differential backups! So every new backup will be a full backup image which takes considerably more time that either incremental or differential backups.
