Samsung Galaxy Note II or Galaxy SIII?

Need some advice on choosing a next cell phone.
I have an ancient iPhone 3 and it is ready to die any minute now.

I use AT&T (because of grandfathered in unlimited data plan) and torn between Note II or Galaxy SIII. I am not considering iPhone 5 because I am kind of sick of iPhones at the moment.

Also, AT&T has a promo for buying SIII and a tablet for a decent price. Should I consider this as an option? I already have a decent laptop. So,...

    What do you think?

My wife and I have the S3 and Note 2. The Note 2 takes a bit to get used to, as the display is bigger and obviously a very powerful processor. We are both happy with it, give up on the iphone as Apple can only change the size so many time and claim it as a new out of this world technology smart phone.

I went from a iPhone 4S to the Galaxy Note II. The size did take a week or two to get used too, but couldn't be happier. I love the larger screen, so much easier to text on and surfing the web and watching netflix is awesome.

I have the lll. Btry last all day great display, fast. Screen size is fine
for me, l now all about bigger is better. I felt that the note was to
        big for everyday use.

I bought 2 Galaxy S3's on Black Friday for $39 each after mail in rebate. The phones are REALLY good and better than an IPhone all day (former IPhone user). The default screen settings are dim to save battery life so you have to crank them up to see the screen well, especially outside. A good case is mandatory because they do seem like they would be easy to break.

I broke my S3 and bought a Note to replace it. I like the large screen but it is a pain to carry...Only fits in my back pocket. I'll also add that the S3 got much better cell reception. YMMV

Note 2. With all the hardware packed into this phone, it'll be good for a few years.

Great battery life, very nice display + gorilla glass, well integrated software and the S PEN - I use that damn thing too much. Also, I got it insured through a 3rd party company for $49/year (I think it's 49, not sure). Break it/lose it, they'll replace for you ... just added this because they wouldn't insure my old iphone

The phone size on the other hand, well - if you're not a skinny/nuthugger jeans kinda guy, then you'll be fine.

I have a note 2 and my gf has the galaxy s3 I personally love my note 2 it has large beautiful screen, quad core cpu, stylus. It is marginally faster than her phone in about every application we try out, probably just because the apps aren't really optimized for quad core. I am a large guy 6'5" 290lbs so the phone feels right in my hands, when I use her s3 I feel like I'm going to break it and feels tiny after handling mine.
I think what it really comes down to is preference and how much you want to spend.

Even with the qc version the S3 is still tiny compared to the note 2, I like my manly phone....

I know it's not supported for further upgrades, but the thunderbolt, then the rezound were better quality phones (htc) vs my 4 week old Samsung. The auto correct spell check sux worse than this iPad.
The phone has many features, but is flimsy. On the other hand, I'm not aware of a higher end phone.
I'm not really impressed with this Samsung s3 phone.

While this is nice, there was a security flaw found on the international versions. Not sure if they fixed this year, I was debating this route for a faster processor.
