Apple wins $billion suit against Samsung in San Jose.

Not mentioned, but surely on the horizon, is the counter part to this lawsuit, to be tried in......

SOUTH KOREA, with local company the fave.

Or not, I've heard USA has gotten pretty strong agreements about international patents, etc, and S Korea needs USA more than USA needs S Korea.

If you have a Sidekick 4G, you would say that it serves Samsung right for putting out the worst Android build anyone has ever seen (well, maybe aside from the Intercept), or anything with Touchwiz that doesn't have a CyanogenMod.

    Screw-em!

Apple win... but what of that? This law case explains that Samsung is going to catch up and beyond Apple, and Apple begin to become very worried about that, so Apple sue Samsung ...
A decent iTunes DRM removal program .

Thought it was a MILLION, not Billion with a B. Was a drop in the bucket for either company. Just got the Galaxy SIII and blows the Iphone 4S out of the water IMO. Bigger screen, Google enabled, open source programs, and generally a much better phone. Smooth scrolling, 1.5ghz processor, 2gb of RAM, 16gb standard plus 32gb of Micro SD card which you can't get in Apple. The Apple fanboys will come to the rescue I'm sure, but Apple just can't handle competition and I don't think they had any right to the lawsuit because of something that scrolls up and down vs right and left and a few other silly things. I'll still stick with Android over Apple any day of the week. Oh, and INCREDIBLE camera on the thing as well.

All funny money. Then in Japan they side with Samsung....
A design feature that Apple claims of rounded corners seems a little far fetched that their were not previous designs...

Apple is going to lose this case on appeal. The jury forman is a patent holder and mislead the jury about what qualifies as prior art.

God I hope so. I can't stand apple and their self centered way of going about products. Sure, they make some of the best products out there, but screen size, little proprietary garbage that they do that people go after is astounding to me. You can do soooooo much more on an open platform than a closed setup like apple. Either way, I own the Samsung GSIII, and love it. Blows the Iphone 4s out of the water.

I don't know if Apple will lose the appeal in as much as the damages will be reduced being likely. The jury foreman's biggest problem is that he described violating the judges' orders on a local TV interview outside of his apartment. If the appeals court rules in favor of Samsung, I am thinking it will be in the form of a mis-trial.

Then, perhaps, Apple and Samsung might make some deals rather than another trial.

For all you with the new Samsung phone, how do you do music? I have a ton of iTunes songs on my iPhone that I don't want to lose but I am seriously considering the new Samsung.

So a brand new phone smokes a 1year old upgrade to a 2 year old handset, color me suprised funny how the iPhone is still the benchmark.

Anyway, the iPhone still has a lot going for it. Battery life being a key selling point for most. The ease of use is also a huge bonus. Not everyone wants to hack their phone to death.
Although I believe the current iPhone screen is to small(many don't) the s3's screen is massive and far to big for me. Yes the walled garden can feel closterphobic at times, not having to think about the function of my phone can be refreshing. Competition is a great thing.

As long as they're not DRM protected (shouldn't be if you bought them in the last few years) you can sync the entire library to Google Play Music. Any songs that are DRM protected can have the DRM removed with certain programs.
