    Issues with youtube

So I am running Mozilla and for some reason every time I go to youtube to watch a video my computer freezes and then it says that mozilla is not responding. A box pops up and tells me that the script is not working and asks if I want to continue or exit. Even when I exit the screen, my internet freezes up.

I am no were close to knowing anything about computers other then using them for the forums. Can anyone give me any tips on what I can do to fix this issue? I have tried a restart and that did nothing.

    Thanks!

Try updating the flash player for Firefox as this has caused me problems too.

        Maybe try updating Flash too.

Firefox seems a bit memory-leaky if open for hours and hours. I notice this if I watch a bunch of Flash-vids. It may be Firefox and Flash player are not happy together in the playground, but I use no other browser unless it is required, so I cannot verify that it isn't one or the other, but a "Close" and "reopen" of Firefox usually fixes it. I do notice, after a long "being-paused" video, I can have weird issues too.

Had a similar problem w/ Youtube on FF recently. Turns out I was on a Youtube induced "Test of HTML5 video"
Disabled it and all was good again.

          YMMV

Also sometimes when Firefox starts downloading updates automagically, and the download finishes, Firefox behaves oddly.

Hit ALT, then click About=>Help and see if an update is ready. This can be done anytime.

WAY less efficient if you use the keyboard more, and no standard ALT-key menus in chrome, not to mention relearn "shortcut?" keys for one application?
                Not for me...

the new Flash Player sucks. Adobe has always sucked and will continue to suck. Right now with FF, Flash player must have two processes running in order to work. A waste of memory and speed.

Interesting that IE IS a memory leak too if left open for a few days at a time. I found some cool programs that can fix that I think, you run them and they defrag ram/ free it up and I recall that they did a great job allowing me to keep Ie open for a few more days at a time back in the day. BTW, defrag RAM might be an incorrect term but it is all I know to say so DEFRAG RAM is what I said.

Why in the hell would you want to keep a web browser open for multiple days??
