Anyone have Diablo 3?

I'm not having any problems other than the servers are so slammed there are times you can't get online to play solo. The online for solo play is stupid.

Define "slower". Unless you're on a really slow dial-up connection (14.4/28.8) I doubt you'll have any issues. The worst issue I've seen is every once in a while my character jumps back about 3-5 seconds due to lag, but this is very rare.

The only time there were problems getting on was the day of release. If you're talking about not being able to get on between 1am - 9am today that was due to server maintenance.

I was psyched about getting it until I read about what happened and how they decided to release it. **** THAT.

If I want to play SOLO then why do I need to be online? Because PEOPLE are willing to buy these games even with these kinds of restrictions on them the companies will keep releasing them like this. We as a community need to stand up and say HEY KNOCK THAT **** OFF! and until we do (and we prolly won't) we will just keep sucking up this garbage that they give to us. So if you HAVE to have it, I heard there was someone on fleabay selling keys for cheap and you can get the installer online at the cost of a 7gb download. As for me, **** it, they took too DAMN long and they fell two dollars short and to make ME have to be online to play is ridiculous. I would rather play Skyrim. D3 can go **** itself in the ear till it bleeds...

For this game, i LIKE that it's online only. item duping and other jackassery was common place in D2. it is MUCH harder to do that when code to make the game work is server side only.

does it have draw backs as well? sure.

I'm filing a refund for this game today. I never get any items that I need and now I can no longer play the game due to getting one-hit killed in hell difficulty by just about every mob I run into. In fact since the RMAH went live I have noticed that the amount and quality of drops has been severely reduced. Blizzard is trying to force everyone to use the RMAH so that they can turn this game into another cash cow like WoW. Too bad, this game had potential.

53 Wizard. I already sent in a ticket for a refund and from what I hear it takes about 2 days for them to get around to it. This game does not feel like a Diablo game to me (I have 1 and 2). If they refuse my refund I'm just going to dispute the charge since I am still within 30 days and then I will delete this piece of crap. Path of Exile on the other hand could be renamed Diablo 3 and would be worthy of the name. Beta goes public in August and the game will be free to play.

EDIT: Diablo 3 has turned out to be nothing more than a glorified auction house money grab.
