i have seen people who have never joined a public game reporting loss of items as well. and new people in their recently played list. some people even reported their account password were changed. these are all people with authenticators as well.

blizz is still in full deny mode right now. not exactly sure whats going on.

      if i get wiped, then .... /shrug

but if i lived in OKC and didnt get shot last night @ the lakers game, then id be fuming if my lvl 60 DH on inferno was hacked

Thanks Merc. I know the lappy is old but got it for refurb $700 so couldnt resist. I figured I would at least get to play at med settings but oh well. I will put up with low settings or get a new desktop.

His CPU is actually fine. It's not just ghz that matters, his CPU is a few generations ahead of the pentium D mentioned for the diablo 3 minimum requirements. Of course when you barely meet the requirements with the videocard... yeah the framerate is going to suck even when you turn the settings down.

Of course this is also why I believe gaming laptops are a rip-off. Even if you pay top dollar today, it'll still be mediocre compared to a desktop. Since you can't upgrade most laptop components, what you end up with 2-3 years later is an overpriced laptop that cost $2,000, performs as well as a current generation $800 laptop, gets horrible battery life, and weighs a ton(because 12 pound "gaming laptops" with 30-45 minutes of battery are useful to carry around).

I'm actually playing. Doing PvP only though. Arenas. I've been playing for only a month and already have both characters in full epics and my 3s team is above 1700.

Never got into arena. I much prefer BGs for some reason.

I sure hope you didn't pay that much for it anytime recently since for the same price you can buy a brand new Sandy Bridge laptop that will handle the game no problem with integrated graphics.

I'm still only lvl 18. Was waiting for a friend to beat the game. I have Barbarion at 18, monk at 9, and witch doctor a 11.

This has been proven to not only be false but to not be possible. People are getting their accounts compromised by other means.

I liked BG's better too. My mage (Zyzzyx) was frequently at the top of the kill list in BG's. I loved Alterac Valley for some reason.

I much prefer the team mechanics of BGs. i did Arena for a while, but it always felt like depending on your comp and their comp, the chain of events was pretty similar every time.
