I hopped on calguns to see if there was a ME3 thread, you guys don't disappoint.

I imported my ME1 -> ME2 character and can't wait to start in earnest. I can't wait to see how decision from ME1 and 2 echo through ME3, I'm hoping my favorite pal, Conrad Verner shows up and does something awesome. I have a feeling he may be the Neville Longbottom of Mass Effect.

Also it seems that the trope of 'aliens are bastards' was taken up to eleven in the first few minutes of the game. At least they didn't kill a puppy....

Loving it. Imported my ME1/ME2 Shepherd, it was pretty funny to level up from 1 to 30 instantly. ;D

I'm about 8 hours in, taking my time and handling all the sidequests. As much as it annoys me to have release-day DLC you have to pay for, I paid for From Ashes. Mission's fun, if not terribly extensive, but the rifle and the squad member more than make up for it.

And the rifle you get is old school mass effect 1 style....heat dissipation only, no ammo.

i was sorta in the same predicament...since the ME2 was so cheap i decided to just get that and wait to play ME3. i played the demo for 3 and loved it. when i downloaded 2, i found the same type of enjoyment so im glad i at least started on 2 first.

The conversation with Javik after you recruit him is pretty cool. You get to find out what the Protheans are really like.

I personally love the rifle but it isn't game changing.

Was anybody who imported characters or started a new game given the same, story, shooter, RPG option as in the demo? I wasn't presented with such a choice and the dialogue seems lacking, shepard says a lot of things without my guidance as compared to ME 1 & 2 where it felt like I controlled every line.

in the options you can change this at any time. i cant remember which category in options it is, but the setting you are looking for is something like "full conversation options" or something along those lines. its the same screen where you set who wears a helmet and when.

I let Ashley die on Virmire, because she was kind of a *****, Kaidan was all pouty that I worked with Cerberus for a while, but now I'm afraid Kaidan has a bit of a gay thing for me...

Where's the dialogue option for "Look man I'm flattered by your advances, but I don't swing that way. I like my lovers like I like my kool-aid, blue."
