Ihonestly dont even know yet, I have been playing story mode, I will get on the multiplayer in a few and let you know.

I just played a multiplayer that is like Spec Ops on MW3, where you and your team have to survive waves of enemies.

Pretty cool but hardly anyone is playing since the release date isnt til tomorrow

Haha I picked up the game last night and it's pretty awesome. I love how I can choose my load out to balance out my power recharge time. So far I've been going with an assault rifle and heavy pistol combination. The shotgun is out until I can find some weight reduction parts.

I've gotta do that. I've rarely used shotguns anyway. Being able to swap out weapons like that is a good thing.

played for a few hours last night, 1920x1080 max everything and it looks pretty sweet. it plays great, handles well, and just feels solid. importing my ME2 toon started me at lvl 20 something.

Couple things:

on the new Normandy there is a memorial with all the names of the crewman that have died, primarily from the Collector attack (misc crew you dont really 'play' with). And it's lke half empty for me. tee hee

i have always played as an engineer because they have abilities for all the defense types (shields, armor, biowhatever) and engie gets weight boost perks. now, the way that ability recharge time works is based on weight, which = how many guns you carry. with it maxed out i can carry an assault rifle and nothing else and have +%200 recharge time on my abilities. so im an engie with an assault rifle and my two primary offensive abilities have a 2.3 second cooldown. I AM UNSTOPPABLE.

i am about 3 hours in and i have already encountered 4 party members from the last games, two or three non-party normandy crew members, and a handful of side quest characters from ME1 and ME2. its pretty well put together, I'm enjoying it.

I've been farting around with it for about an hour or so now. For some reason it would only import one of my ME2 savegames though and not sure it's the one I wanted

i never played mass effect but after seeing the epicness of this 3rd one, i downloaded the demo and liked it. (i play stuff like fallout so this game is up my alley)

will i be totally missing out if i skip 1 and 2 and just play 3? i don't have time to play as much as i used to...thats pretty much the deciding factor of getting this game or not.

you'll maybe at most miss out on the back story behind certain situations or characters, but they design the game to be playable by a newcomer.

i could not find any collectors editions in stock locally so i had to order one off amazon it will be here in a few days though giving me time to finish up a playthrough of ME2 with a imported ME1 Shepard

Haha I played about an hour or two on story mode and once I started multiplayer I havent touched it, even though I am itching to see whats happens I cant stop playing multi, its just too damn fun, I have a lvl 20 soldier with everything pretty much maxxed

Shotguns are too heavy and in my opinion isn't worth the recharge time you are giving up.

I've gotten a particle rifle that just rocks everything else. I use it with the rapid fire pistol and I can take on just about everything.
