If this is the last you'll be spending for the year, get both and stock up on controller batteries. I just picked up Skyrim last week and the story is so deep you really wont want to put the controller down, ever.

But, i feel the same about BF3.

      Really... the same way?

The story is BF3 was so deep I was done in 4 hours and forgot all about it. Whereas I played 40 hours of Skyrim and hadn't even touched the actual story yet.

Skyrim will keep you busy for like +400 hours or so.

There's really no contest. Glad to see the OP made the right choice.

you can't fight flying Macho Mans with dual-wielded light sabers in BF3. That is the deal breaker for me.

Ooooohkay. I'm glad I picked Skyrim, and definitely need to look into getting some mods, it seems.

I've got about 12 hours in on it now, and having a blast.

BTW: yes, it's for PC. I've got a PS3, but I wouldn't be allowed to play something this immersive and time consuming on the TV. It would cut into too much of CINCHOME's Real Househags time. I hit GT5 or Ratchet and Clank when possible, but it's not as much as I'd like.

Oh I have semi-permanently rearranged the living room, dragging the recliner right smack dab in front of the big screen 1080p. I look like this -> running around nervously watching the skies of skyrim
