MW3 orBF3?

MW3 for sure. People want to say that its a minor improvement over MW2, well you are entitled to your opinion and no one is making you buy it. I think its an awesome game, they did a great job concluding the story, and the special ops missions are much better than they were in MW2 and the added survival mode is pretty fun to play as well. If you are like me and a fan of the Infinity Ward COD games then you probably won't be disappointed and may possibly be impressed. The biggest reason I bought the game is because I have played all 6 of the previous COD games on the 360, granted I don't really play too much multiplayer because my skill level isn't quite there as I don't spend hours playing video games every day, but it was definitely a good time waster in my eyes.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L Mencken

MW3
I purchased both. Different game play. MW3 has smaller teams and maps. BF3 has larger maps, teams and vehicles. MW3 all the way."This country has a mental health problem disguised as a gun problem, and a tyranny problem disguised as a security problem." -Joe RoganComment

If your going to reply can you elaborate a little bit as to why your choosing one over the other?
I only played MW3 for a few hours at a friends house to see if I wanted to buy it. I ended up buying BF3 for the vehicles, and the game play. CoD is more about what your k/d ratio is than anything, for me it plays more like hide and go seek with squirt guns. there is always someone hiding behind a corner somewhere lol. You can have 3 beasts on a team of 12 and they can carry the team to a win. Its alot harder to do that with BF3, you need to work more as a team if you want to win a game. The spray and pray style is fun and has its place in the world for sure, I only enjoy it in small doses.Comment

Because you haven't yet played high enough - soon you will come across choppers, jets and other tanks with superior anti tank misses - not to mention at mines set up in triplicate to p3wn j00!. Not to mention c4, at soldiers and irritating as hell IR sensor posts so every one on the other team can light you up.
MW3 is a joke they don't even bother showing the actual game and instead try to focus on idiots using twin 45s like some kind of lame version of a john woo movie.
I expect in modern warfare 4 doing somersaults while shooting will be included.Comment

Pay no attetion to the people saying one is better than the other, look at the response's about the differences in the game and decide based on those differences. I mean would you listen to someone else about how they want apple pie over peach cobbler when you love peach cobbler? it's all about what makes each games it won. They're very different.
I prefer BF3 because it forces you to use team work to be successful at higher levels of play. It moves at a slower pace then MW3 and has so much more to offer. But it also requires a bit more work to be good at.
MW3 is great for those who want a smooth game thats well refined. Its fast, its intense, and will give most people a good experience. Plus its not so team dependant. It's also very easy to pick up and get going, the learning curve for it is pretty short.
I have been a huge fan of the COD seires and not so much the BF series, well that changed with these games. BF3 offers more of a real world enviorment, the maps are huge (I play PC), it's a crazy awesome game but it will take some time to get confortable with it.
Try renting them, or borrowing from a friend for a day or two. Either game is worth the money!Comment

I counted 5 BF3 threads on the 1st page of this sub forum alone. What do you think the consensus is
Personally, I would try both games before making a decision. Both games are great. Just 2 different styles of gameplay. CoD games are more run-n-gun and BF is more tactical based. Choose depending on your style of gameplay.

In the past, I would have picked MW personally. My issue with the series is it has been done to death, and I have put a lot of hours into it over the various games COD2, COD3, COD MOW, COD W@W, MW2, etc.
I passed on Black ops and I am passing on MW3. It's just been too much of the same game at this point, and frankly, I have not liked the progression of things like the kills streaks and perks.
I feel they have taken away focus from the game being a MP FPS shooter and instead, gotten people to play the game in weird ways so they can get that 4 kill perk or 10 kill perk or whatever.
So in terms of the series, I'm done. I know people still love the games for their twitch shooter nature. And that's fine. I just can't play them anymore.
the BF series, on the other hand, I have less time into, although I played a bunch of BF1943 and BFBC2. I just like how they are gear towards bigger maps and coop, teamwork gameplay. I like the classes. I like the unlocks for weapons and class skills. I like the vehicles.
The game play, at this point, seems more interesting and fun to me. It's less "more of the same."
Still, it comes down to personal preference. I wouldn't say one game is better than the other. It's just want you feel like playing.Comment
