IMO kd is an overrated stat in bf. I could have a horrible kd but I could still be an effective player ex: always arming mcoms, trying to lock down areas in conquest or trying to distract others via smoke etc

Correct. It sucks when you happen to die a lot in a game, but as long as you are filling your role and helping your team win, that's what matters. I am always seeing dudes with amazing k/d ratios on the losing team. It's most likely because they make no effort to help their team advance and run around looking for cheap kills instead.
I'm always amazed when I see one of my teammates run right past an objective without even making an effort to take it.

Funny, i catch the rage a lot too on BF3. Some teammates are totally clueless and the game goes one-sided unless i can sneak across enemy lines and drop a spawn point.

Step 1 - Engineer - take out tanks and find an assault class to supply you with ammo for your mines.

Step 2 - Support - Advance to mid-map way-point and supply healing/revive to teammates. This is where the tables usually turn and using Support gets your teams tickets back.

Step 3 - Engineer - Place mines at the exit of enemy spawn points to eliminate tanks, LAV's, and Jeeps to slow down their advancement

Step 4 - Recon - Use UAV to determine what point enemies are going for then provide sniper fire

Notes:
-Claymores + rush = win
-Get your vehicle XP up, nothing worse than a chopper pilot that doesnt have flares
-Not enough people utilize Eng/Recon laser designator and Javelin

Definitely looking forward to some time this turkey weekend! Finally got my mortar last weekend. When on Recon class I try to spot as much as I can so keep an eye on your mini map. Even if I can't hit the enemy I still can spot 'em.

i actually just got the m320 with smoke and attached it to the m416 via the underslung rail. Wow, much better. Blinding enemies, able to get across certain points in maps, giving cover to myself. You guys should try to utilize it more. Here's a video from BFBC2, kind of a guide. It's old but it still applies as far has how to properly use smoke and stuff if you guys are interested:

Unlocked canister shells for the tanks a couple of nights ago. After a lot of trial-and-error, I've worked out a winning combo: REACTIVE ARMOR + ZOOM OPTIC + CANISTER SHELL. It allows for a pretty aggressive strategy (even in urban settings) that is still survivable (especially if I have a competent gunner). The canister shells are basically giant shotgun rounds - great for dealing with infantry, soft vehicles, and even the occasional helicopter. The reactive armor covers the sides and the rear, so I have a second chance to retaliate or retreat even if I get jumped by an RPG team. Finally, the zoom optic means I have an advantage over enemy tanks.

I'm really starting to like the T-90A. Mainly for the low profile and the reticule with shell drop compensator.

Lost a good 2 hours of play time last night due to that stupid update!

Update half downloaded and my internet connection died. Reset my xbox and it froze. After a couple resets if finally finished the download and updated. Once updated it could get on the internet but not Xbox Live.

Did anyone else have a problem? The ONLY way i could get it working was by setting up all the BS port forwarding in my router settings. It only started working once i added Port 53 to the forwarding list. This minute detail could only be found at xbox.com/nat-help. What a pain.

I didnt have a problem Downloading it. was pretty quick, maybe 20 mins or so?

What I do have a problem is getting in one of your games! I see you on (itisagoodname) and go hang out waiting for a spot to open in one of your games. 20 mins later I give up and start another lol

Bad news though, my dog ate my headset... and an ATM ate my card so i haven't had much of a chance to pick up a new one. I hate ordering online around the holidays since there's never a definite delivery date.
