The co op is actually pretty damn fun. The helicopter mission was my absolute favorite. I pretty much finished it myself because the guy that joined with me couldnt do ****. I was flying and taking down APCs, mortars, RPGs, and all the enemies. It's so sick just sweeping by and making it rain hell on them.Once you get use to the controls, flying it is so damn fun. The infiltration mission was sick too but I always go caught. But I thought the co op was going to suck like MW2s but this is pretty damn fun.sigpicComment

I played for about 8 hours today with a minimum of 2 of my friends. For the majority of the time we had a full squad of us and absolutely WRECKED. It makes the game so much more fun when you can strategise and have each direction to the MCOM station covered while one person plants the charge.
I also got a 543 score headshot while sniping on Kharg with the SV98. I got one that was like 470 then a bunch around 539 -543 and then the last one took one shot and dropped it perfectly for 543. That was pretty cool.
There's still some bug and such, but I'm still loving it!Comment

I cant wait for DICE to release their Battle recorder. That way we can post the crazy **** that happens to us in Battlefield. I remember i parachuted off a Helicopter, landed on top of an enemy tank, put C4 on that and blew it up. Those types of things i wish i could record lol.sigpicComment

Good Morning All!
Any PC players looking for squad members? Ive been playing solo for a while and figured it would be more enjoyable to actually play with comms. Send me a PM or add me, my account name is... sugacookie1983 i believe.Comment

I spent the weekend playing a bit on campaign and multi-player. It was buggy. I dumped a whole AK mag on a boggie, he did not go down, another player came in when I ran out of ammo, dumped a whole mag on the boggie...... I tried knifing him like 5 times before he died. SAPI plates............
I'm not sure if all the was due to lag or bugs.
Does anyone know how to read the Mil-Dot scope that comes with the basic recon kit? How the heck does one estimate range on BF3?
This is for PC version.Comment

It can be difficult to estimate range in the game. I usually have to guess and walk my rounds in. Once I get an idea of certain distances by getting headshots (the amount of points you get is the yardage), It kind of just comes naturally.Comment

Kind of like instinctive shooting with archery... Eventually ya just kind of know where to aim.vindicta inducit ad salutem?Comment

I was thinking about this while playing a little bit ago.
It can be difficult when switching between rifles, but this is normally how I get my range in.
1. I align the sights so the drop will bring the round in line with the target.
(Some times, if I don't want to spook a target, I will take the first shot in the general area to just get close.)
2. Take the first shot and see how far up/down the round lands.
3. Take the amount that the round was high/low and raise/lower the sights that amount.
They made it "easy" by not having to calculate wind or bullet drift.
I can usually get a hit within 3 rounds, a head shot in 4.
I'm hoping the M98 doesn't drop as much as the sv98 or the m40, seeing as it's chambered in .338. It has a LOT more damage compared to the other rifles, though.
My longest headshot with this method is currently 556 yards with more than a dozen above 400 yards (marksman points = yardage).Comment
