As of now it's still down but they have released firmware 3.61. There is a map that should be updated periodicity to show what states/region are back up.

I was able to reset password and get back online, but now trying to play blackops and it hard freezes right before i begin a map. wgo? anyone else having this problem?

I just turned on my psn, did the update, and a window popped up and told me I must change my PW. I created a new PW and was able to immediately log in.
