    Keystroke logger

I have someone screwing with my work computer while I'm away at lunch. Mine is of the few computers at the shop which connects to the internet and I know some body is using it when I'm not looking. I wanna find out what they are using it for. I did a quick google search for a keylogger to install and run in the background while I go to lunch to catch the person but as usual most links are total FUD that try to steal your data. I dont need it to transmit the data log to any outside source or email, just simply record the keystrokes in a notepad file or something for me to view later. Any one have a suggestion or experience?

I have used this 007 logger and it works great. Not sure about this site selling it though.

Have you tried locking your workstation when you are away from it?

            This.

And only the hardware loggers are undetectable. If you use a software logger any virus protection you have will probably smack it down and not allow it to run.

You could also look at the internet history.... unless they are clearing the data when they leave.

Wait let me get this straight you want to load spyware on your work computer?

Do you have an IT department?? If so they would not be very happy about you doing that....

As people have suggested LOCK your PC with you leave it and unless that person knows your password they can not get in.

If you think the person knows your password then change it

In all honesty I waffle between finding you disgusting and pitying you that your life is so void of anything substantial that you measure yourself by 'conquests' and who you know that can get you in where.

Is there some work policy against surfing the web ? Seems like it's your
company's computer & not yours. Did your boss tell you to not allow
anyone else to use your computer ? Otherwise, what's the big deal about
someone else using your computer when you don't need it ? You worried
they're sending email to Pakistan or trading child porn ?

bbguns44, anyone, in any company needs to be aware if someone else is using your computer. Not only is it just plain annoying, it's a huge security risk that could land the company or the OP in legal hot water.

log out of your workstation so if the other person wants to use it they will have to log-in with their access which can be traced by IT Dept.

or try unplugging the keyboard/mouse when you leave, but don't make it obvious. since most people in a workplace environment has about as much computer knowledge as a caveman. they will be confused as why the mouse/keyboard doesn't work.
