i used to use cloudmark. looks like they have a thunderbird client. this works great also.

Page Not Found Sorry, the page you requested was not found.

i used to rave about cloudmark until i switched to gmail. even my commercial websites get run through gmail now. just easier. the only thing cloudmark has a problem with seems to be outlook 2003 when your getting 2 or 3k emails a day, it stalls out and freezes up outlook. could also have to do with 1&1 mail servers.

i had all my catchall domain accounts pointing to 1 box and it would freeze at the 3k emails a day.

your work needs to filter it at the server level, not at the user level...

      who do you work for?

can the work afford such things?

        Afford? SpamAssassin is free.

Apache SpamAssassin is the #1 Open Source anti-spam platform giving system administrators a filter to classify email and block spam.

          lol.

You've solved the spam problem with one quick simple update?
All you do is add a new rule to the chain.

            1&1 isn't a very good company.

                Yes, I'm aware of that.

My point was more along the lines of a single simple rule catching the spam for his account. Filtering spam while not filtering out the legit emails is not an easy, quick solution, especially given the different types of spam out there.

This also presupposes that their admin is running spam-assasin, and not some other form of spam-protection.
