I even discovered I've got a big empty bay inside for extra drive or memory.

I thought it was max designed for small size etc why the batt doesn't pop out like older units. Should have at least internal small batt with 30 mins life to allow hot-swap of main batts and/or an external drive that clicks in neatly. Just make the external solid state drive the same shape as the big batt.

My 2001 vintage Toshiba had TWO external bays you could mix and match battery, compact "floppy", or CD drive or both drives or two batteries, or two compact floppies to do mass copies. I consider that peak design.

Yeah, my 2018 Dell Latitude 7490,which I recently bought for $200, is immaculate.
      16 Gig RAM and 512 SSD. Gen 8 I7.
      RAM and SSD upgradeable.
Was a three cell 43 watt battery that was weak after so many years.
Bought an OEM DELL four cell battery for 50$.
      Now good as new.
I?m not a gamer but a great and solid business class laptop.
