Need dedicated server host recommendations

I have been hosting my own server at my house for years. I am in the process of moving cross country and need to find a good hosting company. I run my own email and website servers.

I am only interested in a dedicated server that i have full root access to. I am currently running ispconfig with 6 domains and around 30 email accounts with around 150 email aliases.

I need to have this migrated before the middle of June and should only have to have it hosted for around 6 months.

Web.com does not support dedicated hosting. I do not wish to have my database or email under the control of others.

I am looking for a bare metal host. No vps or shared servers. I also need to have at least 1 static ip address.

I have been looking at dreamhost, liquidweb, and a couple others but would like feedback about the companies. I much prefer to have the server hosted in the United States not Europe and definatly not in any Asian country.

AWS or Linode are my vendors of choice. AWS is going to be simplest and probably cheapest way to get what you want. It's not 'bare metal' (though you can get it if you got money coming out your ears), but it works just like bare metal.

For dedicated, but you could easily get away with a VPS with your setup.

My current setup has my email and web server running as a vps on my xen baremetal server. My biggest concern is what happens when the servers io system gets overloaded bh someone else's vps and causes me issues. I have had it happen on my own physical machine when one of my other vps took a bad update and crashed none stop. It took out the entire machine. Had to manually boot the baremetal with xen not loaded. Was a freaking nightmare.

I don't trust others to not f#$& up my stuff. Ie I don't trust people I don't know.

Sounds like OP is looking for unmanaged colocation services. You control everything, just rent rack space and bandwidth.

I'm not going to doubt that Linode doesn't have customers with compromised servers, but in my observation of our traffic over the past several years, Linode is not even a blip in the origin of malicious traffic to my organization (with two class B's).

Digitalocean is primary US based sources of malicious traffic. Everything else is foreign based ASNs, specifically China, Brazil, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

As far as abuse reports, the worst offender is Google.

I will agree with this recommendation for dedicated host. HE is a very solid company.
