not tech savvy, in fact low tech here. I'll search "hackintosh" just to see what it is tho.

I couldn't make sense of their websites, but I'll look on a retailer website.

Damn! I didn't know usb was fast enough to transmit video. I guess 3.0 is, 2.0 not so much.

Funny thing is, I went to Best Buy to look at micro pc's, didn't have any, but in the next row over, they had all-in-one's. Seemed like the perfect solution, except the ones they had were all low memory, like 8 or 12 gb. They had a 16, but it was 1600 bucks. The other problem is finding a second monitor just like the all-in-one. I don't want two different monitors. What I'll probably end up with is a micro-pc with 2 identical monitors.

I really miss the old Fry's, where you could walk up and down the rows and look at 30 different pc's.

Bestbuy is the worst place to buy a computer. If you are not going to move your computer around I would get a desktop, you can get way, way more for your money.

That's the only place here that sells computers other than Walmart and Target.

I wanted to put hands on. Like I said, the places I mentioned are the only places here that sell computers.

If you live close by Micro Center in Tustin, CA they are like Fry's of yesteryear but better!

just pulled trigger on one of these units for $220.

Its small enough and DESIGNED to attach to rear 10cmx10cm M4 bolt pattern on any monitor.

Its what I've been saying should be the thing and now I find out they are doing it.

in other words takes up basically no desk space. sort small HD at 228GB but 1 TB thumb drives are $25 these days.

I was just gonna hang the mini-PC with a couple strings more or less in same position. The mini only weights about 1.5lbs, and doesn't have any spinning discs except maybe the fan so no worries about it getting bumped or running out of level, etc.
