Get the iPhone 13 Pro, if you take a lot of pictures, the better camera on the iPhone 13 Pro will be worth the upgrade.

The 13 has more zoom and a higher focal length. It also allows up to 1TB of storage vs 512. The storage is what always gets me with phones so I would wait till the 13 comes out. Those high def pictures and videos will take up lots of space.

13 Pro max for camera and cinematic video. Faster processor also. Use mine for editing photos from my full frame dslr via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi on my 13 Pro Max.

Minus the iPhone 13, I've had every iPhone since the iPhone 4. I have the 12 Pro Max now. It's a solid phone. I have no complaints about it. Battery last all day, takes sick pictures, and just works. If you can get the 12 Pro Max at a decent price, get it. Don't even mess around with the 13. It's basically the same s### as the previous models, but with a higher price and a slightly better camera, a camera that most people wont even be able to tell the difference.

Apple phones are so optimized, Honestly you can pick up an 8 and it's going to run just as smooth as the newer ones....but with a lesser camera. Regarding the point and shoot cameras vs iPhones, you can't beat the convenience, quality, and practicality of a smartphone these days, and nothing is beating an iPhones video.

I traded in my 7 Plus because the charging port was essentially worn out and didn't hold the cable secure. Other than that, it was a solid phone. AT&T had a deal going recently and traded it in. Got $350 for it. New 13, non pro, with 256 gigs ended up costing me only $400 including the $50 Costco Shopping card.

Congrats. If the battery life is better over a 12, that's worth it alone. Battery life sucks on my 12 if I am actually doing something on the phone.

If you're going to spend $1,400 to essentially take pictures, and best that money in a DSLR. May not be as convenient to carry around, but I'm blown away on the money people will spend on a phone simply because of the camera

There is a price for convenience.....
