iPhone 12 Pro Max

I need to get a new cell phone. I'm thinking about the iPhone 12 Pro Max in 512 GB. It's actually available online right now at T-Mobile. Do you think I should get it or should I hold out and wait for the iPhone 13 Pro Max to come into stock?

I take lots of pictures and that's why I was thinking about getting the one with the 512 GB. Any help is appreciated.

My 13 Pro Max is scheduled to ship in 6 to 13 days. I ordered on the 29th. We should see the flood gates open soon, I would order the 13 and wait it out.

Makes sense for a lot, real camera wins every time.
But carrying a camera and a phone isn't as convenient so depends what kinds of pictures you take and when/where.

Well there are deals to knock that down, trade ins, etc.

Depends on the user, if you are person constantly using the device either by choice or occupation, and exploit the more advanced features, it can make sense especially if you keep the device something like three years.

I suspect few fall into "needing" it though.

I’d wait and get the 12 after the 13 is out. They will be discounted as everyone will want the 13. Seriously you have to be a professional to use all the features these phones have today. The 12 would have everything I’d ever need and more, but like you I always get the most GB’s available. The phone last longer and runs better, the more it has.

Yeah at my work we use these things all the time due to the downtime. They really are indispensable. I have seen the ones that my friends have that are the Pro Max. They really outshine anything else on the market It seems.

I’d get the 13 pro max. Battery is longer, camera is better. There is no downside and you can get it right away with the higher capacity ones. The 128 seems to be the ones that has longer wait. Apple.com tells you which stores has in stock if you are buying it outright.

I traded in my 8+ for $600 credit toward a 12 ($729) through T-Mobile.
It does everything a 13 can minus the upgraded camera. $129 upgrade.

It's more than just the camera.

With typical use, 13 Pro Max battery lasts 1 hour 20 minutes longer than 12 Pro Max. Also A15 chip vs A14, Promotion 120Hz refresh vs Std 60Hz

And the Promotion on 13 can mean almost double the battery life vs 12, when watching videos.
