Solar charger?

Do you have a private yard or south facing window?
Not everyone lives in a house that has a yard... you could set it flat in a window if the window got decent sun

Google solar phone charger.
All kinds for cell phones.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

I bought a bottom of the wattage panel and it wouldn’t even charge my iPhone.
What you want, at a minimum, is something like a Goal Zero 1400 and their largest folding panel. Expensive? Sort of. But it will work.

Many thanks for the suggestions. Definitely helps with the research. So far I’m leaning towards a Blovar power charger bank for phones and rechargeable batteries and such. About $50 and could get a few for home, vehicles, and emergency bags just in case. https://www.amazon.com/BLAVOR-Portab.../dp/B07Q5ZQ6GL
Larger items like fridge/freezer are definitely on the list as Eugene’s son mentioned above. Haven’t figured out power solutions such as gas or propane that would get beyond a few days depending on how much I can store in the casa. Something like the Goal zero 1400 you mentioned is intriguing but keeping it charged for multi day use is another step. Solar panels and battery storage for a generator is probably the way to go. Researching that as well.Last edited by Opappy; 04-02-2021, 9:22 PM.Comment

Some panels do have built in USB chargers. I use this to power my home built solar generator, but it also has a mini charger built in for small stuff
They also have a smaller one @ 60W
Here is an off brand, may be the same dang thing, for $99 @ 60W
Get more panel than you think you need, because conditions are rarely optimum to get the max rated panel output. 60W should do great for a couple of phones/tablets in a variety of conditions, and you can also use it to recharge those small power banks so you have some extra juice at night if you need it.Last edited by SkyHawk; 04-02-2021, 9:06 PM.Comment

Here is a quick post about it in another thread with a couple of pics.
I built it to support several 100W HAM radios simultaneously in the field, so it is optimized for DC high current, up to 40A continuous at 12v, but I do have a pure sine inverter to use with it for other emergency AC needs.
PM me if you have any other questions about itLast edited by SkyHawk; 04-02-2021, 10:05 PM.Comment

I have a Honda 2000 to augment my voltage needs as well as compensate for the lack of sun for my Goal Zero.Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them. - Rabindranath Tagore

GoalZero is perfect for the non-gadget person. Costco has periodically been carrying the GoalZero 3000x which includes the 3000x battery/inverter/power center plus a foldable solar panel. You can't beat the Costco price.
GoalZero makes systems smaller than the 3000x as well. You'll probably need more power than you think...Last edited by Jeepergeo; 04-05-2021, 3:09 PM.Benefactor Life Member, National Rifle Association

To be aware, the 3000 is not a 3000 watt supply. It's the same output as the 1400 but with a bigger battery so it lasts longer.GoalZero is perfect for tge non-gadget person.
