    The whole point of the iOS device being locked to an Apple ID is so that it can't be used by anyone after it is stolen.

      Kinda pointless other than giving you the satisfaction of knowing your stolen device can't be used. It doesn't cost the thief anything to steal an unusable device. If they can't use it they'll just dump it. You're still out of your property.

        I reached out to 3 people on craigslist who can “get past the password”

        Well they can get past the screen lock password

        If “Find my IPad” is active, it’s a parts kit only.

        She is going to go to apple support and try to figure out if they can help
        Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

        Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

        Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

        Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
