Both my desktop and laptop are pushing 10 years old. The desk top is an ACER, and has 3GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 320GB HDD, and is running Windows 7. The laptop is an MSI, and I would have to look up the specs, but it is less powerful than the desktop, for sure. I "upgraded" to Win 10 on the laptop. The laptop video card struggles a little with videos from time to time, but it is rare.
I will say that I have never had a lick of trouble with either machine, although I hardly ever use the laptop. The desktop is used several hours each day. The majority of use is tied to surfing the net, and some occasional MS Office work. Nothing more.
So, in your opinions, should I bother with attempting to upgrade, or just get a new desktop, and transition the things I do on the laptop to my tablet, and keep the laptop as a spare?
Thanks.
