This. Prepaid from the supermarket, or "Jitterbug" like my uncle. Anything "smart" is iOS or Android, unless you get an old Windows phone off flea-bay or craigslist. Windows isn't supporting their OS anymore either. Maybe old Blackberry.

                Choices are super limited.

                    Jitterbug

But you have jumped the shark with 'no android or ios' and 'basic internet'. If you want internet, you aren't looking for a basic phone. If you want internet, you want an OS that is kept current and hardened, and that means ios.

Thanks for the response, but Apple and Android based devices are off the table. No exceptions

If you don’t want apple or android you are pretty much left with a cheap old style flip phone or an MS win 10 smart phone.

I don’t know if you consider MS better than Apple or android though.

If you do, phones like the lumia 650XL can be had on Amazon for $130 and it’s actually a very nice phone for the money.

Keep in mind that MS’s phone market share was pitiful and they gave up on mobile last year so you may end up one day with no support if MS decides to stop supporting Win10 mobile. But it should be supported at least for awhile longer and at $130, you’re not spending much over a basic flip phone anyway. So it’s a low risk in the end really in terms of money loss. You could spend even less if you went with a used win 10 phone off eBay or 3rd party amazon.

(Edit). Did a quick check. Most sites are predicting the end of support of MS phones on win 10 by Ms by end of year 2018 or maybe 2019 at the latest. So you would only get a year or two going this method. Still if you found a cheap enough win 10 phone it might be worth it.

                              iOS refers to Apple specifically...
God may have made men, but Samuel Colt made them equal.

Send me pics of your: Colt Detective Special, AMT Hardballer, pre-64 Winchester Model 70. I'm looking for them.
