    What new phone to get?

    I know, I know 9mm vs 45 etc...

My note 4 died on my 2 months ago. I have been an android guy for years and never given iphone the time of day. Lately, I don't feel like there is any reason to stay with Android. They've followed iphone in every negative aspect. You cannot swap out batteries any longer, the latest pixel doesn't have expandable memory and Samsung loads their phones up with bloated apps. My wife and I both had a note 4 die after less than 2 years. Not to mention the Note 7 explosiveness.
Honestly, I don't feel like Android is giving me any reason to stay. I have never had a battery last more than a year, so the non-removable battery means I'll have to replace my phone after about a year. Iphones used to cost so much more, but they are about on par with the latest pixel and note 8. With the higher resale of the iphones, it seems like there is nothing left but switching to IOS and sell the phone after a year, when my battery is going out.
Also, Apple is an american company, and Samsung obviously is not.
What do you guys all think? What will your next major phone purchase be?

Did the galaxy s8+ super happy. Except for Bixby. But. It does have 2 radios. So you can talk on the phone and internet at same time. Actually a super priority feature for me for work. Ymmv.

      I use apps at home.....

My next phone will be smaller than my iPhone 6. It will be a phone and text device. Read a few emails too but small

      And a tablet for home.....

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

After being abandoned by Microsoft, I just picked up a galaxy 8 active. It's nice, supposed to be tough. Not fond of overly intrusive android/google

Meh. I have an Iphone 6s and I've had it since they came out. I'm not one of those guys who has to have the latest and greatest. When this thing dies, I'll get whatever the new Iphone is at the time. So far, it's running strong.

As far as the idea of switching over to a driod, never gonna happen. I have a S5 for work and I hate that thing. It's not as smooth as the Iphones, not as user friendly, decides about once a month that even though it says it's connected to the network, no calls/texts/voicemails/email/anything will come through until I throw it in and out of airplane mode for a second.

My hatred for driods could be because I've always been an Iphone user. But I can safely say that I've used a driod (still have to) and hate every second of it.

Check out the Moto Z Play (not the Play 2). Best battery life in the industry with enough under the hood to meet most people's needs. If the battery goes before your next upgrade, you can get a Moto Mod battery. Very minimal bloat ware. I got mine at Best Buy for $10/month.

Not sure if you mean you can make a phone call on both phone and internet or phone call and surf internet at the same time. If it's the latter, the iphone has been able to do that for quite a while.

You can also text over wifi with an iPhone. Not sure if android can do that yet.

Had to replace the screen on my daughters iPhone 6 and it couldn't of been easier. After viewing a few YouTube repair videos, most everything on the iPhone is replaceable, easily.

I'll continue to buy iPhone just for that.

You say apple is a U.S. company and samsung isn't. Does that really matter since both companies phones are made in China? I like the iPhone and have had one since it's initial launch. All have been great phones with the exception of my iPhone 6. It must have been made by an autoworker on a Monday. Lots of little problems and a samsung grade IED battery.

I recently bought a samsung phone because my plan gives me 4 lines for the price of 3. It is a really nice phone. Once I get used to the android OS I think I will switch all my phones to android. Both apple and samsung are over priced. I have been looking at huawei phones. They offer high end phones at a much better price. Another thing making me dump apple is their donations to the southern poverty law center.

Check out the new iPhone X. It’s smaller than the iPhone 6plus and a tad bit bigger than the normal 6. I ordered a custom thin case and glass screen for it too.

Plus it’s not $1000 or $1299 like the news is reporting unless you’re buying outright. I did $200 down and $30 a month for my iPhone X. You can put as much as you want down and lower your monthly’s to stay under $100 a month.
