    Any tips on easy removal of hard drive from laptops

    Looking for suggestions for a few old Compac laptops. Need to remove the hard drives B4 recycle of components...

        Don't know about compaqs but the laptops I've had only required a few small screws to be removed. The drive pulls right out.

                Yeah, use a screwdriver...

                They should come out just like all the others.

                The ONLY laptop that ever gave me ANY resistance in removing the HD was a Panasonic Tough-book. They have those things all kooky crazy in there, with suspension and Faraday cage and all that.

                Okay, maybe not a Faraday cage, but it was crazy for sure.
