Have a 12 year old 42" Panasonic Flat Screen I want to mount on my bedroom wall but am clueless as to what mount I need. About all I can tell you is the TV weighs 73lbs and the mounting bolt holes on it are 26" apart horizontally. Would like to keep cost below $50.

Thanks for the link but I don't think I need a bracket with all those movement options - I think a basic flat mount bracket or maybe tilting at the most. Also, I'm no expert but I don't think 400mmx400mm is the right VESA bolt mounting pattern for my TV with 26" horizontal bolt spacing?Originally posted by Sierra57Civil War 2.0 - If it comes to pass, the America-hating Leftists will have brought it upon themselves. So, my Vertical bolt spacing is approx 12.5" or 317.5mm - the Horizontal spacing is 26" or 660.4mm. Can anyone steer me to the correct size wall mount bracket. I'm kind of crippled search-wise as I spilt a drink on my laptop keyboard earlier this evening and it may be fubar so am down to using my smartphone.Originally posted by Sierra57Civil War 2.0 - If it comes to pass, the America-hating Leftists will have brought it upon themselves. Well, found one on eBay that is said to fit my model #TH-42PD50U so I guess I'm gonna order it.

If you think you might ever take the mount off your wall in the future, put some wax paper between it and the wall. Otherwise your paint/sheetrock tends to stick to it over time, and when you pull it off the wall you'll take half the sheetrock with it.
Ask me how I know

Get this tilt mount from monoprice for $16
Cut a piece of plywood 2'x3' (I used 3/4" which is overkill but you can never have too much)
Center the ply where you want to tv to go using lag bolts 2 at least 2 studs.
Lag the mount into the plywood.
Using the plywood will let you mount your tv where you want and not dependent on having to line up the mount holes to studs in your wall.
edit:
like this. The tv will conceal the ply

I really like having the fully articulating dual-arm mount in the bedroom.
This is the one I used 7 years ago - it is B.A. !! I have a 42" Panny Plasma mounted on it. The mount is strong as F yet disappears behind the Tv. 1900+ reviewers can't be wrong. It is a lot cheaper now than when I bought it. I'd still pay twice what they're asking if I needed another one.

Thanks, Skyhawk. My bedroom is not huge so I really don't see the need for the extra articulation/adjustment the bracket you linked offers. The bracket I found on eBay is said to support up to 165lbs - my TV weighs half that at 73lbs so it should be overkill.Originally posted by Sierra57Civil War 2.0 - If it comes to pass, the America-hating Leftists will have brought it upon themselves. Unless I'm figuring my unit's VESA sizing wrong, I don't think the bracket you linked to will fit my TV as the description states it fitting a maximum VESA of 450 x 250 whereas my TV is approximately 317 x 660, unless I'm doing the calculations wrong.Get this tilt mount from monoprice for $16

400mm is under 16" apart.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SF...1uL&ref=plSrch
Worked for me. Hung it myself. Took about 45 min. I was overly cautious. Drill test holes to make sure you're hitting the studs dead center.
OP has 26" between mounting holes.Comment

I apologize. I didn't see your dimensions. I was too busy using my ms paint skillz
To be honest, I've never used the vesa measurement whenever I purchased mounts (easily 10 mounts including friends and family). I guess I have been lucky that they all fit.
Here is one for $18: vesa max: 750x450--------------------------------------------
