Nvidia 1080 will laugh at any AAA title today at 1440P on Ultra. So will a 1070.
IPS Screens Vs TN panel, these days go with what you like better. IPS colors will be superior over TN. There is no argument. Gsync works and you want that if you have a Nvidia 1080 GPU. TN panel has an advantage on response time. The difference between 4 MS and 2 MS is negligible. If you are a pro 1st person shooter gamer, get a TN panel with 1MS response time. if not, and you have the bank, get an IPS+Gsync. .

IPS + Gsync is pricey. TN + Gsync if you are budget conscious. Thats just me.
On your previous post and my subsequent comments, I forgot to ask why you suggested the OP get two SSDs instead of 1 SSD and 1 mechanical? Not something I'd ever suggest, just wondering what your reasoning is?

I will be overclocking hence the water cooled, as to the I7-6700K there is a logical reason. With the release of Kaby Lake the price of the I7-6700K should drop.

My philosophy has always been to cry once. Looking at high end PC builds from 10 years ago they are still able to decently play AAA games.

As to the games I will be playing, it will be GTA 5 and FPS.

The monitor I have is an ACER TN 27 inch at 144hz with a 1ms refresh rate. I have seen IPS vs TN side by side and it does seem that IPS has better color depth even when I am directly in front of it. However, the monitor was on sale so that is that.

As said before if you plan on overclocking, that Corsair cooler you selected is just fine, however it performs similarly as a high end air cooler such as a Noctua. Multiple independent testers have proven this. You will be able to do a modest overclocking without much effort (10-15% easily), but if you want to start cranking things up, that 120mm radiator just won't cut it; as with any similar air cooler.

Another reason to get more PSU than you need is if in 5 years you want to upgrade the video card, you can do so without changing any other part. If you get a PSU today with just enough wattage, you'll likely need to swap out the PSU in 5 years as well. Also, you can upgrade with another 2 DIMMS of RAM. Its easy future proofing.

If you can wait, hold off until cyber monday (monday after thanksgiving) to buy parts online, sometimes you can get nice combo deals on amazon or newegg.

Intel doesn't discount their processors, they only discontinue them. A Skylake and Kabylake should be of similar price.

op, if youre going with that case, i would get the kraken x61 instead of the corsair water cooler. it will mount up flush with the case.

other than that, i think everything looks good. you could prob go with noctura case fans as they are better than corsair but either way youll prob replace them in 2 years or so.

if i were you, i would get the asus gtx instead of the evga and swap out that corsair psu with the axi1200i. you will want the beefer setup if you decide to add another 1080 in the near future like i did.

I wouldn't get too caught up with the SSDs. I was having a talk with Micro Center's returns desk and they see a number of them exhibit their limited write/re-write capabilities.

Everything else looks good. What about audio and mouse?

It's only the evga custom pcb board 1080 gpus. It'seems the 1080 ftw and higher models are only having the problems.

                HUH???

Retailers do! Whenever new gen CPUs are released the existing ones tend to drop in price... retailers want to clear out the older stock. It's been like that for over 25 years in the industry!
