No love for No Mans Skies...

Wow what a total **** brick THAT turned out to be. (lol, just look at the pissed people on you-tube...)

Fortune smiles upon you though space sim lovers...

From what I hear, Elite Dangerous is awesome, but very technical, Star Citizen might actually be simpler, but pretty cool and still in development.

I do like what I see in all hree games, but the colors kind of irritate me with NMS. I also like the idea of being an FPS and space sim so my vote goes to Star Citizen, but I will most likely fire up Elite Dangerous as well...

I actually like no mans sky, tho it's very repetitive it's still a fun game to pass the time.

I like the way it looks but when I hear about all of the lies that people are complaining about, it kind of pisses me off. Another thing too is that I do not like the way the guns look. I like how Star Citizen looks but I am really digging on Elite Dangerous plays and looks.

I am even going to order a better HOTAS joystick so that I can fire it up and play it. It really does not look that technical as for the flying and all, but the extra axis are cool.

Maybe Star Citizen could get a Firefly class cargo ship inserted somewhere down the line. I mean, if it boasts about being able to land on ships and go explore them and get into firefights too, then that is SWEET!

I was watching all kinds of movies on Elite Dangerous today and was looking forward to it- OMG! That is SO wrong...

I was watching all kinds of movies on ED today and I was looking forward to it and spending all that money so that I can play with it and enjoy my time with it... Wow that is ****ed up.

So THAT is why it is always referred to as Elite Dangerous and not ED... heh.

I have 70 hours into no mans sky and the game is great. theses people on youtube make money by making something sound bad and running with it. the supposed lies turned out to be about 3 items out of 25 that are not in the game.

where is the cd on the store shelves?
or is this one of those online only games where you have to PAY to play the game? and you are watched by some company.. and who do they sell/give said info to?

if a game can not be played on your OFF line computer it is not worth it. if you have to PAY again and again just to play it it is only a money scam, not a game.

Many people do like the game, for me personally it wasn't my thing and I was thankful Amazon allows returns for software.

I may pick it up when it goes to the bargain bin on Game Fly, but in the meantime at full price it just wasn't something I felt wouldn't get repetitious and tedious for me personally.

No pay to play, you buy the game online and play online for free as far as I know. I would have already talked **** on it if I knew you had to pay to play each month.

I do not know enough about dead man's sky but DAMN even the other network specialist is talking **** on it at work. He is pissed too and felt like he was lied to and is out $60 now.

Elite Dangerous on the other hand- I am NOT thrilled a the lack of ships in the game. I feel that there should be a plethora of ships in a game and weapons as well. I am spoiled by Freelancer and I liked that there were different shields to match different weapons and the entire shield/weapon concept seemed to work like rock paper scissors. I liked that the main character (you aka Trent) had a personality and slight backstory. I liked how there was a story in the single player campaign.

I ALSO enjoyed being able to fire it up, log onto a server and go fly all over and do whatever I wanted to online.

I HOPE there is some input and changes made in ED that allows you to pick up debris from wrecks and all. I remember killing pirates in FL and you might pick up their high powered weapons or at least get a pirate pilot in your cargo hold to sell off to the nearest prison ship or jail base.

I like that there are now engineers that have been introduced to the game and you can team up with one and go buy certain things and come back to let them upgrade your ship in a roll the die sort of way.

I hope that I can play ED with a 570GTX becaues that is all I have now until I drop 1400 and get my new mobo+cpu+ram+1070/1080 card...

                      Yeah, those 3 items...

                      Factions, trading, piracy, cargo running.
                      Multiplayer, pvp.
                      Ship customization.

Yup, just 3 minor little issues that were repeatedly marketed by the developers as something for customers to look forward to in the game. Nevermind that those 3 minor little issues are the entire basis for other games.

The list of nitpicks that were posted to reddit were things like butterflies, fauna attacking eachother, and so on which are minor features in any game, and yes some of them were indeed found to actually be there. But that doesn't change how Sean Murray repeatedly lied to consumers about the game and features that would be included. There's a reason that Steam has extended its refund policy, and even PSN is granting refunds for people who have put more than the maximum allowed hours for a refund into the game. It's not a simple case of outrage clown game reviewers on youtube trying to make a buck, when even the disitrubors(one of which is the publisher) have modified their refund policies to acknowledge the issues.

Just because you don't care that some "insignificant" things were left out, doesn't change that other people are pissed about being lied to regarding a product they spent their money on.

Haven't played a space sim since the original "Elite".

So I watch the videos of the new stuff on Youtube and am always impressed, without having to endure the gameplay/crap.

I highly recommend this approach. You're rarely disappointed, and it leaves more time for things like, you know, living and watching your son play space sims.

Some interesting data regarding No Man's Sky courtesy of SteamDB and SteamSpy. It appears if you didn't get tired of the game after 2.5 hours you will continue to play about 25 hours after which gameplay drops.

To hell with NO MAN'S SKY...

It is the colors and the guns. They look crappy to me. The alien life forms look wacky too, but I have no real-world experience with alien life forms unless you count having lunch with that libtard brother of my g/f...

                            BUT I tell yall what...

I am nearly an ELITE DANGEROUS expert now...

The game was Freelancer reincarnated, in that you pick a ship and you are essentially always in it, in one way or another, but where the game Freelancer and ED split is that while Freelancer (FL) gave you a LOT of stuff to play with, it was simple stuff. - Cool, but simple. You wanna steal? You shoot a cargo vessel and tractor in the stuff that breaks off...

You wanna mine? You shoot the little moving asteroids and every 9 or soo will yield a unit of material...

ED on the other hand, they gave you LESS toys, but the toys are sooooo much cooler... You wanna steal? You tell folks to drop their stuff. Nogo? Shoot them, STILL nogo? Then fire a limpet hatch breaker at them, let it blow their door and start tossing out their crap. LMAO!

I like the localized damage in the game. It is kinda jacked, but it is cool. ED- Shoot the drive or the distributor and they just lose their power to the whole ship, then move in and finish them off at your pace, or shoot their hatch and start sucking their guts out.

You wanna mine in ED? (Now THIS I like) You get a ship and a refinery inside and some limpet thingies and controllers...

You fly to the asteroid field, pick ANY asteroid and shoot a probe on it, it will scan and tell you how much gold, platinum, silver, boronite, paladium Etc WTFE. Then you can decide if you want to mine, you release your drones and start using your mining lasers on the rock and they will run around and grab all the pieces and drop them into your refinery that has anywhere from like 3-10 bins depending on the class it is. If you have all bins filled and a new material gets found, you can vent (discard) the contents of a bin and the new material will go in there, after you get 100% of a bin filled with that specific material, it makes a cargo unit of it and empties the bin. So you can mine ICE, ROCKS, METAL, and all depending on the rings that you fly into.

I was really liking what I saw, it went BEYOND freelancer, the guy mined for about 25 minutes and made about 800k+ credits... It was pretty freaking cool.

I like how there are ways to transfer the power back and forth on your ship too.

As for Star Citizen, well, I am hearing how THAT game is going to end up being what no man's sky claimed to be, but never got there. I saw some really cool things in Star Citizen (SC) and I like it, but I am thinking that it might need a better graphics card, meanwhile, my 570 gtx might be entrylevel for ED...

I just got a Saitek X52 PRO to use on the game. I am really liking on the various missions there are in ED as well. They seem totally cool. I also like how you can explore the planet surfaces now with a little rover. Kinda reminds me of space rangers, except you used the satellites there.

Yeah I am really liking the stuff I am seeing more and more in ED...
7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

I don't have that kind of time:

If you plan to explore every inch of the world in 'No Man's Sky,' you might want to clear the next 5 billion years off your calendar. Literally.
